Frontier Intelligence

The frontier becomes playable.

Short reports on the ship systems and playable prototypes taking shape in Frontier Intelligence.

Working v1

The ship systems meet in one build

Inventory, cargo, fitting, and engineering have reached a reviewed working v1 checkpoint in the combined Mac build. Arrange cargo in shaped grids, move equipment into compatible mounts, and manage its power and condition. Personal inventory, Cargo, Loadout, and Engineering share navigation within the ship experience.

Reviewed development foundation; full MMO and cross-platform validation remain ahead.

Working v1

A journey with a working arrival

The accepted travel checkpoint brings impulse flight and Surge together with target alignment and automatic arrival braking. Air traffic control, docking, and departure complete the station path. The reviewed build combines the realistic Clunker and Meridian station, giving subsequent port work a usable arrival and exit.

Part of the working v1 ship checkpoint. Travel tuning continues through playtesting.

Scans produce knowledge you can carry

The Mac scanning build collects observations through fitted, powered equipment while the ship continues flying. Reports preserve their observation time, measured fields, and uncertainty. Finite drive storage and copying between owned drives are implemented, giving exploration a persistent record to work with.

Working scanning prototype. Prices, payments, and report trading remain planned.

Port services take a playable shape

A separate station service prototype is under review. Its current work connects finite-stock trading to physical cargo placement, refueling, repairs, and equipment comparison. The wider objective is a complete paid haul between ports, followed by a useful ship upgrade that the captain can fit and use.

Service prototype under review; the complete paid haul remains ahead.
